1) Purpose
**********

Ping Scanner Pro is a program to perform a pingsweep on your network, or on the internet. If you provide a range of IP addresses, Ping Scanner will sweep them.

Ping a range of IP addresses to find out what numbers are in use, or what numbers answer within the set time.
adjustible Time out, bytes to send, start and end node.
Once the sweep is complete, you can save the results.

Ping Scanner can ping one address a lot of times or a lot of addresses one time. It will also tell you what MAC addresses are on your subnet, and perform DNS loookup or reverse DNS lookup. It will tell you what IP addresses your ping passes on the route over there and it can do a whois lookup of any given domainname against any whois database.


2) Installation

To install Ping Scanner Pro you need to unzip the file first. Use your favorite unzip tool to do so. After that find the directory where you unzipped the pingscan.zip file and run the setup.exe program. The setup program then guides you trough the installation process.

If, for some odd reason, you don't want Ping Scanner on your machine anymore, just remove it via the control panel in windows. A uninstall is included.

You are free to give Ping Scanner to who ever that wants it. You can even give it to people that don't want it, thats up to you. You can NOT give away the registered version, only the unregistered one.
